Master in Management and Digital Business

Increasing globalization, deregulation, faster innovation cycles, digital transformation, and accelerating economic integration have made markets more dynamic, competitive, and digital - and more complex.

Digital technology is now of significant importance to organizations and in this course, we consider how it can be applied. For the organization, to become digital means not just consideration of new transformational enabling technologies but also of human resources, business processes, and strategy. In this course, we cover mainstream management functions alongside the digital business.

All organizations seek to improve performance. Managers are using digital advances as well as improving their use of traditional technologies to change customer relationships, internal processes, and value propositions.

This one-year course has been expertly designed to place you at the forefront of contemporary business practice with a specific focus on the application of digital technologies.

Program Curriculum

By the time students complete the program and become qualified to graduate, students should have accumulated a total of 180 credits, broken down into three (3) semesters of study progression.

English preparation course

For students who are not yet proficient in their English skills, the English preparation courses, extra tutorial hours, English club, and other exchange activities would help students become more confident and fluent in using English, both in the form of writing and speaking.

Learning, Teaching and Assessment Methods

Teaching Methods

Students can expect contact hours for lectures, seminars, and workshops of 8-10 hours per week, usually scheduled on Saturday and Sunday and between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. In the third or ‘independent study semester’ students will be guided by a supervisor. The program is completed in 12 months. Various teaching methods: lectures, seminars, case study analysis, business projects, and field trips.

Learning Methods

During the course, students will be able to apply their learning to real-life scenarios and gain important experience and expertise in effective problem-solving through a consultancy project. Students will take part in innovative learning activities including operational and strategic business simulations and case studies developed by the team in collaboration with local companies. A series of workshops, training, and company visits will provide students with the skill set and practical knowledge.

Assessment Methods

The IEI promotes the need for assessments that build on student self-efficacy and confidence. They should be developmental in nature (formative) - aimed at providing feedback to students on their performance and progress during the course. Assessments should likewise be evaluative (summative) – aimed at measuring whether the students have achieved the learning outcomes of the course - from which their grades leading to awarding of credit, or the right to progress, or of determining their final award – will be determined.
