Ecology and Environmental Management
Ecological and environmental management deals with different ecosystems (terrestrial and aquatic), key components and processes, and the interactions between humans and the environment.
With the short name LEEM, the goal of the research team is to contribute to the implementation of goals 13 and 15 of the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
The group aspires to develop technologies for application to environmental ecosystems, expanding research to the social, economic and policy areas of environmental management.
Our Research Objective
In the spirit of the research fields, the projects will focus on ensuring the following objectives:
Biodiversity Research
Research on biodiversity, conservation and development of flora and fauna habitats.
Create a resource management platform
Sustainable management and use of forest resources, maintenance of ecosystem services to improve adaptation to climate change.
Technology application
Application of bio-composting technology, biocatalysis to treat pollutants in water and soil environment, and organic waste treatment.
