Optical Materials

Optical materials were once a topic of excitement for the scientific community. From optical glass to hot pressing technology for the production of new crystalline materials, this is the driving force behind constant research in this area.

The Optical Materials research group at STAI focuses on research and development in terms of theoretical and experimental research.

The group simulates the structure of optical materials, methods of manufacturing and synthesizing optical materials, nanostructured optical materials to the application of optical materials for cancer therapies, gas sensors, water monitoring, data storage....

Our Research Objective

Simulation and parameter calculation

International research and publication on simulation of optical materials structure, study of optical properties, calculation of optical material parameters based on Judd-Ofelt theory.

Analyze and come up with methods

International research and publication related to nanostructured optical materials fabrication methods. Analysis of thermal properties, structure of optical materials based on DTA, XRD, TEM...

Rare soil application

Research towards the applications of rare soil on glass and glass-ceramic materials in the near-infrared wavelength range for optical fiber amplifiers.

Photocatalysis application

Synthesis and explore the feasibility of solar light-activated semiconductors and composites for water treatment, water splitting, and gas sensing.
