The Industrial Design major constructs a process of encouraging creativity, orientating towards research and building product forms to optimize and meet the needs of the community day by day, thereby improving the quality of life.
Industrial Design is a versatile major with many products such as machinery and tool products; information and entertainment technology products; household products and consumer goods; depending on the current trend of each country, the products are designed differently to suit the needs of customers. Students will develop an aesthetic mindset and creativity when they study in a modern environment that provides sufficient facilities for design. Faculty of Arts & Design - Van Lang University is one of the institutions with sufficient conditions and standards of academic staff, classrooms, and workshops to create Industrial Design painters who meet the new age's standards.

The program is developed with harmony between theory and practice. The major focuses on investing in practical workshops that help students freely express their creativity and experience domestic and international competitions.
An academic year consists of 3 semesters, including 2 main semesters and 1 supplementary semester. Students register their study plan for each semester according to the detailed training plan of the major.
Students study general courses, basic tools and art courses to provide them with a foundation of knowledge as well as an understanding of the contemporary issues of the Industrial Design major.
