Blockchain and AI Redefining the Job Market: Challenges and Opportunities for Career Advancement

With the mission of helping students better understand current technological trends and create a foundation for seizing career opportunities in the digital era, on September 18, 2024, Van Lang University, in collaboration with the Academy of Blockchain and AI Innovation ABAII, organized a seminar titled “Blockchain and AI Redefining the Job Market: Challenges and Opportunities for Career Advancement.”

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Quynh Mai, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and the Graduate School, shared: “This seminar marks the beginning of transforming ideas into reality, enhancing knowledge and skills for learners through a series of events that introduce new technological applications and provide a more concrete perspective on the labor market. This enables students to be fully prepared to join the workforce as high-quality human resources.”

The seminar covered key issues regarding the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital era and how students can utilize AI’s potential to create opportunities while addressing challenges in their studies and future careers. During the session, Mr. Dao Trung Thanh, Vice Director of the Academy of Blockchain and AI Innovation ABAII, presented “The Overview of AI and Its Practical Applications,” offering students a clearer understanding of AI and demonstrating the vast potential it holds, with many high-value applications in education and the workplace.

Aiming to make artificial intelligence (AI) “A Companion for Future Students – Using AI to Build Personal Branding,” Mr. Hang Minh Loi, Deputy Chairman of the VBA Fintech Application Committee, emphasized that understanding the importance of AI will help students swiftly adapt to the era, build professional resumes, and develop comprehensive skills from basic to advanced, meeting the high recruitment demands of businesses.

In addition to the insights from experts, the seminar highlighted the importance of connection between speakers and students. VLU students had the opportunity to engage directly, listen to answers to their questions, and gather valuable tips for navigating the challenges posed by new technologies like Blockchain and AI as they prepare to enter the workforce.

Self-positioning and setting clear goals during university years is crucial preparation for the post-graduation journey. Mastering AI and Blockchain is the first decisive step in supporting learning and career development.
