The 2-day/1-night Bootcamp experience is one of the 2024 Offshore season's highlights. Competing teams are able to study and reside together on Van Lang University's main campus, while exchanging knowledge and experience with lecturers, experts, and even their own "competitors".
BootCamp Ra Khoi 2024 is a unique two-day, one-night experience activity that the Organizing Committee has meticulously planned for the 22 teams competing in Ra Khoi 2024. During the two days of April 19 and 20, 2024, candidates will be instructed in knowledge and skills, exchange experiences, listen to and grade projects performed by their teams. Nearly 100 contestants from local universities competing in Ra Khoi 2024 enjoyed a memorable night together with the Team Building program, linking the Ra Khoi competition team through group games.
"Get out of the ivory building" is the message Dr. Nguyen Quynh Mai, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, wants to convey to the 22 teams competing in Ra Khoi 2024: “Be innovative, and be daring enough to go beyond the constraints that limits you. With the assistance of Mentors and Trainers, I am confident that the students will gain essential knowledge and persevere in constantly striving to make our project even better.”
In addition to acquiring specialized expertise from teachers and professionals, the Organizing Committee sent a message this year when enacting a series of Bootcamp and team building activities that motivated competing teams to share resources and collaborate to create the most valuable projects. MSc. Doan Hoang Quan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration, stated: "I want you to comprehend that when you graduate and establish an actual business, you may have to work in an environment with limited resources, even deficient, but it is a must to swiftly adjust, identifying the best technique and utilizing everything you have.”
Throughout the program, the Organizing Committee noted the exceptional creativity, responsiveness, and unity of this year's teams. They were particularly enthusiastic about the collaborative spirit displayed during team building activities.
During the 2 days of training, competing teams had the opportunity to meet MSc. Duong Thi Ngoc Lien - Lecturer at Polytechnic University, MSc. Ly Minh Hoang - Co-founder & CEO BeeKword and MSc. Le Chi Thanh - VLIC Startup Advisor. Leveraging their expertise, the trainers equipped the competition team with the latest on the BMC (Business Model Canvas), startup funding, and cash flow management.
MsC. Ly Minh Hoang also empowered the competition teams with skills to craft compelling content and deliver their ideas persuasively, boosting investor confidence. In a spirit of open sharing and connection, teams had the chance to hear each other's pitches, exchange feedback, and ultimately strengthen their own ventures.
In other words, Vo Huynh Anh Thu, from the Resemel team, explained that even though they had finished their project summary, after hearing MSc. Duong Thi Ngoc Lien's talk on the BMC business model, the team realized there were shortcomings in their project and areas they needed to improve on.
The training session keeps Will team members from Van Lang University's Faculty of Business Administration aware of how crucial it is to properly filter information, identify, and "brighten" the presentation submission's focal point to draw in investors and make a good impression.
Tran Ngoc Minh Phuong, a Graphic Design student from Course 28, admitted that finance wasn't her team's forte. While working on their project, they faced challenges with cash flow planning. Fortunately, thanks to trainer MSc. Le Chi Thanh's insightful guidance and willingness to share resources, Minh Phuong and her team learned about helpful tools that boosted their confidence in building a solid cash flow plan for their startup concept.
The Bootcamp program provided a valuable experience for the 22 competing teams, enhancing their professional knowledge and fostering connections. This has fueled their inspiration and motivation. Having gained new skills and camaraderie, I expect the Ra Khoi 2024 contestants to be even more energized and dedicated as they prepare for the exciting Poster Show to showcase their upcoming projects.
