Celebrating 30 years, Van Lang University offers over 60 billion VND in scholarships

In honor of its 30th anniversary (1995 - 2025), Van Lang University announced in May 2024 a variety of tuition and scholarship incentives totaling more than VND 60 billion. This initiative is designed to encourage applicants and assist new students and their families in reducing financial burdens as they begin their journey at Van Lang University.

In 2024, Van Lang University will offer scholarships covering up to 30% of tuition fees to all admitted students and confirm their enrollment with the university based on their early admission results.

1. INCENTIVE POLICY FOR EARLY ADMISSION STUDENTS COURSE 30

Eligible candidates: All students who are admitted early and confirm their enrollment at Van Lang University based on the early admission results (with the early admission program registered as their first choice on the official admissions system of the Ministry of Education & Training).

Incentive Levels:

  • 20% off the first semester's tuition fee for students enrolling in all Standard Programs.
  • 30% off the first semester's tuition fee for students enrolling in the 13 Honors Program.
  • A VND 10 million discount (deducted directly from the first-semester tuition fee) for students enrolling in the Dentistry program.
  • A VND 5 million discount (deducted directly from the first-semester tuition fee) for students enrolling in the Medicine program.

Moreover, every new student of Course 30 will be given exclusive gifts upon enrollment, including a backpack and a branded gift set from Van Lang University, preparing them to blend into the dynamic, creative, individualistic, and aesthetic Van Lang student community.

Note: To receive the 20-30% tuition fee reduction for the first semester, candidates must gain early admission in Van Lang University's selection rounds and use the early admission results to register their first choice on the Ministry of Education & Training admissions system.

Students enrolled in the Honors Program will be eligible for a 30% reduction in their first semester tuition fees if they confirm their enrollment through early admission results. Additionally, during their studies, these students will be given a Ready to Work experience trip at the end of their second year, comprising internships, study programs, and networking with businesses both locally and internationally.

2. TALENT SCHOLARSHIP POLICY 

Van Lang University presents Talent Scholarships to individuals who excel in various fields and whose academic ambitions align with the university’s philosophy of holistic human development: cultivating well-rounded, ethical individuals with lifelong learning abilities who positively impact society. Students with exceptional qualities or achievements in one or more of the following six areas may apply for the scholarship:

  • Academic excellence
  • Sports Talent
  • Artistic talent
  • Youth entrepreneurship
  • Scientific research achievements
  • Community service achievements

Scholarship values:

  • Level 1: VND 100 million - 30 scholarships
  • Level 2: VND 50 million - 100 scholarships
  • Level 3: VND 25 million - 300 scholarships

In particular, Van Lang University prioritizes allocating 30% of the Talent Scholarships (approximately 120 scholarships) to students enrolling in Engineering and Technology programs. 

Students who receive the Level 1 Talent Scholarship and maintain excellent academic performance (GPA of 3.2/4.0 or higher) and a conduct score of 70 or above will be guaranteed job support in their final year at Van Lang University or with the university's partner companies.

With outstanding academic achievements and notable contributions to artistic activities, actress Lam Thanh My, from the 29th cohort majoring in Public Relations, was once awarded a talent scholarship by Van Lang University when she first stepped into the university.

  • Short video introducing oneself and expressing intentions to study at Van Lang University

3. SPECIAL INCENTIVE POLICY

Scholarships in the field of Engineering and Technology for Female 

Students Eligibility: Female freshmen enrolled in 19 majors within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology cluster at Van Lang University. 

Incentive Level: 10% reduction in tuition fees for the entire course (without maintenance conditions). 

Despite being rare in the field of study, female students have demonstrated keenness and meticulous analytical skills, making significant contributions and becoming potential forces in the field of Engineering and Technology. Through this new scholarship policy, Van Lang University aims to create additional opportunities for female freshmen, encouraging them to pursue their dreams of becoming engineers or technology professionals, leveraging their strengths to conduct valuable research and embrace the digital era.

Scholarship accompanying the Education Sector 

Eligibility: All incoming freshmen who are children of faculty members or lecturers currently working at VLU's partner high schools or in educational departments and agencies. 

Incentive Level: 20% reduction in tuition fees for the entire course (without maintenance conditions).

Incentive Policy for Special Groups

  • 50% tuition fee reduction for students whose parent(s) are currently employed as permanent staff or lecturers at Van Lang University.
  • 30% tuition fee reduction for students whose parent(s) are permanent staff, employees, or teachers within the Van Lang Group's member units.
  • 30% tuition fee reduction for students with disabilities, orphaned by one or both parents or from impoverished families.
  • 20% tuition fee reduction for students from very few ethnic minorities; families living in extreme poverty; students with three siblings currently enrolled at VLU.
  • 15% tuition fee reduction for students with two siblings currently enrolled at VLU; students with parent(s) who have suffered accidents/occupational diseases; students with parent(s) who are war invalids, martyrs, or have made contributions to the revolution.
  • 12% tuition fee reduction for students with one sibling currently enrolled at VLU; students with sibling(s) currently enrolled at VLU.
  • 10% tuition fee reduction for students whose parent(s)/sibling(s) are alumni of VLU.

VAN LANG UNIVERSITY ENSURES TRANSPARENT AND DESERVING UNIVERSITY TUITION FEES

Tuition fees are often a concern for prospective students and their parents when entering university. At Van Lang University, all information regarding tuition fees and related policies is transparent, specific, and aligned with commitments made to students. At the beginning of each academic year, the university provides information on the unit price of university credits, the total number of credits for the entire course, and the tuition fee policies applicable to students in that academic year, always ensuring adherence to these commitments. In addition to tuition fees, the university does not impose any additional training costs on students during their studies.
