To offer students a detailed insight into the VFX, animation, and production fields, on March 27, 2024, the Faculty of Creative Technology of Van Lang University, in collaboration with Bad Clay Studio and Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, organized a workshop titled "Behind the scenes: Bad Clay Studio's story".
Established in 2013 under the leadership of Mr. Thierry Nguyen, Bad Clay Studio stands at the forefront of the 3D product production industry, specializing in visual effects for movies, TV commercials, music videos, and more. Over the years, the studio has assembled a talented team of artists who have actively contributed to significant domestic and international projects, including acclaimed works like Sweet Home, Detective Pikachu, and Yin Yang Master. With over a decade of unwavering commitment, the Bad Clay team has achieved remarkable accomplishments, elevating the standard of visual techniques in the Vietnamese film industry.
Sharing about the field Visual Effects (VFX) and 3D graphics productions, Mr. Thierry Nguyen - CEO, Founder, Art Director of Bad Clay Studio expressed: “The cinematography industry is more than just a career choice for the future, it is an interesting adventure, conquering everyone's senses. Ceasingly cultivating and learning in-depth knowledge from seniors in the profession is the key to helping people improve their aesthetics and develop their creativity.”
From the perspective of an expert with many years of experience, Mr. Guillaume Dedieu - Animation Lead of Bad Clay Studio advises students: “Do not be discouraged and doubt yourself when the products created are not as desired. Give yourself a chance to practice your ability to concentrate, to change your outlook on receiving opinions and control work will no longer be a big obstacle.”
Within the framework of the workshop, students can enjoy the finished products from Bad Clay Studio, listen to guests share about the recruitment process, career advancement roadmap as well as how to build an impressive personal profile when participating in the labor market.
It is hoped that the knowledge and experiences shared by the speakers will prove to be valuable assets, instilling greater confidence in Van Lang students and anchoring them firmly on their chosen career paths.
