Exploring Van Lang: A Memorable Visit by Nursing Students from University of Newcastle (Australia)

In March, 2024, lecturers and students majoring in Nursing from University of Newcastle (UON, Australia) shared valuable academic exchanges and created lasting memories with Van Lang University students, visiting the campus and exploring knowledge from the fields of medicine and nursing. Continuing this international exchange, on the morning of October 9, 2024, a delegation of medical lecturers and students from UON visited and engaged with students from the Faculties of Health Science at Van Lang University.

A delegation of lecturers and students majoring in Medicine eagerly participated in a campus tour at VLU’s main campus.

Guided by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lan, Deputy Director of the International Student Support Center, Head of Global Engagement of the International Education Institute at Van Lang University, along with Ms. Melissa Shields, a nuclear medicine scientist, and Mr. John Tessier, a CT radiographer, the UON delegation explored the university’s modern facilities, particularly the practice area of the Faculty of Dentistry.

There, Dr. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang introduced the university’s dentistry program. University of Newcastle students had the opportunity to experience firsthand the advanced equipment and professional practice rooms, affirming the quality of Health Sciences at Van Lang University.

Furthermore, the University of Newcastle delegation attended a detailed presentation on the medical program by Dr. Thanh Minh Khanh, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Van Lang University. The medicine program at Van Lang University is the blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, with a network of reputable affiliated hospitals where fifth and sixth-year medical students will undertake clinical practice.
