On May 15–16, 2025, final-year students of the Software Engineering program, Class 27, at Van Lang University successfully defended 19 graduation theses after months of rigorous research and execution. These projects were highly praised by the Specialized Evaluation Committees for their academic quality and innovation.
A defining feature of this year’s defense was the impressive diversity and relevance of the research topics, which captured the pulse of the digital age and responded to the evolving needs of modern society. Moving beyond conventional models that typically focus on basic enterprise management systems, students of the Class 27 boldly explored and applied advanced knowledge across various fields - from everyday life to specialized industries. This was evident in projects related to automation and smart homes (such as intelligent irrigation systems), multi-channel ecommerce platforms, and AI-powered chatbots designed to enhance online shopping experiences.
Students also demonstrated strong capabilities in applying technology to high-potential sectors such as Healthcare (MRI-based cancer diagnosis systems, health management platforms); Education (English learning applications); Transportation (coach ticket booking platforms) and Entertainment (cinema ticketing systems, game development).
Particularly notable was the strong presence of projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Chatbots, showcasing students’ awareness of emerging technological trends. These included chatbot systems for e-commerce consultation, project management websites, and corporate platforms. The breadth of these topics reflected students’ initiative, creativity, and ability to adapt emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, and Chatbots to develop practical and breakthrough software solutions.
Throughout the defense process, the Evaluation Committees provided insightful feedback, critical analysis, and constructive suggestions that helped students gain a deeper understanding of their work and valuable real-world experience.
Several theses received special recognition from the Committee for their meticulous development, significant effort, and high practical value, with strong potential for future growth. Among the standout projects were:
Congratulations to all Software Engineering students from the Class 27 for successfully completing your graduation theses. May you continue to grow with confidence and passion as you advance in your careers.
