Due to the severe effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the world, the Happy World Invocations project was launched with the desire to spread positive messages and help students answer the question: 'How to make the world become happier and better?'

As part of the desire to spread positive messages and encourage Van Lang University students to express creative and meaningful ideas, contributing to building a happier world, the Student Success Center launched the Happy World Invocations project from December 2021 to April 2022. This project provided students with Soft Skills training, spearheaded by a team of lecturers currently teaching Soft Skills at Văn Lang University and supported by student assistants.

After more than 3 months of implementing the project, Happy World Invocations attracted 650 projects from more than 3,900 students of the Class of 2021 (K27) at Van Lang University. The series of projects aimed to increase students' awareness of the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations. Students participating in the project had the opportunity to experience and apply the trained soft skills during their courses, such as communication skills, teamwork skills, problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Diep (MSc) the Leader of the Happy World Invocations project, said: 'The 650 projects from the students make me feel that the students of the Class of 2021 (K27) are truly excellent. On the first day of disseminating knowledge, most of them were vague about the 17 sustainable development goals. However, through many training sessions, many projects not only meet the requirements of the 17 sustainable development goals but also showcase their own unique qualities and applicability to their respective majors.'

Many projects have impressed the Van Lang student community, such as the 'Cốc yêu thương' (Caring Mugs) project, which was carried out by the students of the Class of 2021 (K27) with the motto 'Một ly đủ đầy – Một cốc yêu thương' (A full mug - A caring mug). The project raised funds by decorating cups and selling drinks. Then, the proceeds from the sales, along with some gifts from the university, were used to present decorated mugs to the poor workers..

With the Mi Casa - Loving Soap project, students make their own soap bars, receive donations, and donate school supplies, books, and comics for underprivileged children at Ky Quang Pagoda.

One of the projects highly appreciated by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Diep (MSc) was the delicious meal project. The group implemented a project to sell handmade bracelets to raise funds for charity. The team filmed the process of making the bracelets and posted it on social networks with the project's hashtag. With the message 'Một sẻ chia nhỏ - Một bữa cơm no' (A Little Share - A Full Meal), the students used the raised funds to provide nutritious meals to poor workers and those facing difficulties during the Covid pandemic. The project helped students spread compassion and promoted the Vietnamese tradition of solidarity. Besides, it created an opportunity for students to unleash their creativity and express their personality.

Currently, the projects have been implemented by various groups and have attracted the attention and contributions of many students of Van Lang University. In April 2022, out of 650 projects, Happy World Invocations will select the top 81 projects to participate in the Final Round, which will take place on April 23rd, 2022. In the final round, a Professional Council will evaluate and select 6 excellent projects, and there will be 1 most-favorite community project voted on by viewers on the Student Success Center's YouTube platform. Van Lang Student Magazine wishes the projects, and Happy World Invocations in general, success in spreading positive messages to the community.
