On December 17, 2022, the Faculty of Medicine of Van Lang University participated in the health education program with the theme "Cooperating with military and civilian medical forces to serve the community in peacetime." The Polyclinic of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine organized the program to celebrate the Vietnam People's Army Day on December 22.

There were representatives of the Vietnam Military Medicine Association and Ho Chi Minh City Military Medicine Association Branch, including Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Cong, People's Doctor, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Military Medicine Association, Chairman of the Professional Council for Healthcare Professionals in the South of Vietnam, Former Director of Thong Nhat Hospital; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Da (Doctor), Director of the Southern Affairs Department, Ministry of Science and Technology; Colonel and Dr. Pham Duc Thanh, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Military Medical Association; Colonel, Specialist Level 2 Doctor Nguyen Van Dien, former Head of Military Medicine, Military Region 7.
Representatives from Van Lang University included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Quang Huy, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Chairman of the Military Medical Association Branch of Ho Chi Minh City; Colonel, Distinguished Physician Pham Van Son (MSc.), Lecturer of Faculty of Medicine, Former Political Commissar, Deputy Director of Military Medical Hospital 7A; Doctor Phan Thanh Cong, Lecturer of the Faculty of Medicine.
At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Quang Huy - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Military Medical Association, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine - Van Lang University emphasized that the Military Medicine Force has inherited the heroic tradition of the Vietnam National People's Army in the war to defend the Fatherland, creating effective combination between Military medicine and Civilian Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic and other community service activities in peacetime.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Cong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Military and Civilian Medicine Association also delivered a speech on the role of periodical health care for the people with the coordination of military doctors, especially military medical facilities in Vietnamese healthcare system.
The doctors also answered the questions from the audience who either attended the event in offline or online forms, and there was also sharing from two reporters and guests of the Military Medical Association.
