During the “Asia Expose Program 2024”, 30 students and 3 lecturers from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE, Singapore) accompanied VLU Honors Program students, participating in experiential visits and gaining knowledge through the interesting study trip.
The Asia Exposé Program is a collaboration of the VLU Honors Program, ITE Singapore, and the community partner ECO Vietnam Group, aiming to provide students with knowledge about food security and the application of technology in agricultural production, and an understanding of Vietnam's society, education, and economy.
In addition to visiting Van Lang University's main campus, Singaporean students and the Honors Program students also shared interesting topics revolving around the economy and society of Vietnam and Singapore. In the session “Vietnam at a Glance”, MSc. Pham Van Anh, Founder and CEO of ECO Vietnam Group provided students with an overview of Vietnamese culture, society, and economy. He also highlighted the strong economic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore. MSc. Pham Van Anh shared, “Singapore is Vietnam’s largest trading partner in the ASEAN region and the largest FDI investor in Vietnam in 2022".
On February 2, 2024, students had an opportunity to meet Ms. Steph Huyen Bui, General Manager of Practice Theory, a design and branding agency established in Singapore in 2015. Ms. Steph Huyen Bui, who has practical expertise, provided knowledge and insightful advice to students venturing into e-commerce, branding, and product quality that meets international standards.
The tour and experiential learning at the High-Tech Agricultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City was the highlight of the ITE students’ trip to Vietnam. During the tour, ITE and VLU students had opportunities to approach advanced agricultural production models, observing the operation processes of 4.0 agricultural zones using sensor technology, drones, vertical farming, etc.
