This is the first time Van Lang School of Engineering and Technology (VLSET) has organized an international conference on "Developing Green Technology in Asia Pacific: Towards a zero-emission future". The event has become an international forum for scholars, researchers and industry representatives to discuss interdisciplinary research and practice in the fields of environmental management and technology, renewable energy, health and occupational safety. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for scientists, researchers, and managers from academia in the industry to share professional knowledge and publish scientific research in their respective fields.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu shared, "Van Lang is delighted to host this international conference. With over 27 years of establishment and development, the Van Lang Education Group has achieved notable success both nationally and internationally. The numerous activities and projects being invested in and implemented by Van Lang all aim for sustainable development, associated with a green and safe environment. As this conference focuses on green industry development for the region, I believe we will come up with many valuable research findings and solutions that benefit both the community and society."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, from the World Energy Council (WEC) in Vietnam, complimented the preparations by the Van Lang School of Engineering and Technology (VLSET). She noted that given Van Lang's long history of project work, she believes the institution will continue to organize many more international scientific conferences, creating opportunities for experts to exchange ideas and propose practical, constructive solutions for both Vietnam and the broader region.
During more than four hours, participants discussed and debated key issues related to renewable energy, waste management, and workplace hygiene and safety. The speakers outlined current challenges and presented solutions toward achieving a safe and green future. In addition, academic issues were discussed, and key policies and methods to handle current and future environmental problems were proposed.
