On September 21-22, 2022, Dr. Vu Thi Quyen, Head of the Biotechnology Department at Van Lang University, conducted training on the agricultural circular economy and organic agricultural production in cultivation. The training was attended by more than 30 students from various Mekong Delta provinces.
The training session, titled 'Agricultural Circular Economy and Organic Agricultural Production in Cultivation,' was organized by the National Agricultural Extension Center in collaboration with the Agricultural Technical Service Center of Vinh Long Province. The session was attended by more than 30 students. These students are officials in agricultural extension, technical staff from the Agricultural Extension Centers and Agricultural Technical Service Centers of various locations including Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Dong Thap, and Can Tho City, as well as members of agricultural cooperatives, farmers, and farm owners from these provinces. The program aimed to update and enrich the students' knowledge in the areas of organic agriculture, circular agricultural economics, and organic farming techniques for crops.

After the theoretical session, on September 22, 2022, the students visited and learned about the rice production model that meets USDA organic standards at Tan Dat Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative, located in Trung Ngai commune, Vung Liem district, Vinh Long province.
With its focus on practical information and experiences, the training program aims to assist agricultural extension officers, technical officers, and cooperatives. The program helps in effectively propagating and transferring technology to farmers. It also targets the promotion of organic agriculture to increase crop productivity and quality. Further goals include minimizing emissions into the environment and optimizing the use of agricultural by-products. These efforts aim to create safe products, increase profits for producers, protect the environment, and promote sustainable production.
