After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, 24 outstanding contestants officially advanced to the National Finals of The Future CEO 2024, co-hosted by Van Lang University and the Vietnam Institute of Practical Multidisciplinary Research and Application. With the theme "Leadership 4.0 - Adapting and Innovating", The Future CEO 2024 is an efficient competition exclusively for high school and university students who aspire to become outstanding leaders, organized nationwide.
Speaking about The Future CEO 2024, Ambassador Dr Ngo Quang Xuan, former Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Nations and former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, highlighted Vietnam’s significant economic progress and emphasized that talented young people will shape the country’s future. This competition is a platform for youth to showcase their talents, hone their skills, and contribute to building a robust economy for the nation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of Van Lang University expressed her honor that Van Lang was co-organizing the National Final of The Future CEO 2024. She highly appreciated the ideas and energy each contestant brought to the competition. On the journey to becoming a true CEO, she emphasized the importance of lifelong learning. She believed each young participant would contribute significantly to the country's development.
The 24 finalists confidently demonstrated their abilities across three rounds. Round 1 "Leadership Competency" challenged contestants to showcase quick adaptability and teamwork under pressure. Round 2 "Practical Leadership Challenge" required teams to display strategic thinking and presentation skills. The final round "Debate – Practical Management Thinking" revolved around balancing short-term and long-term business interests. Each round allowed contestants to exhibit their leadership potential, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
After impressive performances, Dr Thang Van Phuc, former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Chairman of the Vietnam Record Association, representing the Organizing Committee, stated: “The competition is not only a milestone but also the starting point for a long journey to forge young leaders who inherit and develop Vietnamese values. The efforts of today’s contestants will serve as a foundation to help them overcome challenges and succeed in the future.”

In addition to the awards for each team, the Organizing Committee also presented a prestigious O’Light Next Gen Scholarship for the Leadership & Management Program at Harvard University to Nguyen Le Anh Tuan (Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, Van Lang University) for his exceptional performance throughout the competition.
