Part-time jobs for students at Van Lang University

Focusing on student care, Van Lang University strives to create the best conditions for students to study, live and provide additional job opportunities suitable to each individual's abilities and strengths. Each student can choose to register to work part-time for many units at the University, helping them both increase their income and have the opportunity to hone their expertise, learn soft skills, and accumulate experience for future work. 

When choosing to work part-time at the University, students can easily arrange their time to fit their study schedule and do not spend much time traveling.

Some units where students can register to work part-time at Van Lang University include:

1. The Department of Admissions and Communication is a place that provides many part-time jobs throughout the school year, such as admission consultant collaborators, admission application processing support, photography, filming, news writing, media support, and event organization; students can become the MC or participate in the production of media programs/products, and act as a "tour guide" in Campus tour programs to welcome high school students to study and visit VLU. 

2. The Department of Information Technology is the address where students can register to be on duty in the computer room, to clean computer room equipment, and support IT work on campus.

3. The library is where you can register for jobs such as writing book reviews, recording audio books, watching the library, supporting the organization of book fairs, cleaning book warehouses, etc.

4. The Student Support Center is a place that provides many different jobs such as supporting the university events, joining the reception team, choir team,…

5. Other units in the school such as Faculties, Departments... will announce recruitment when there is a need for collaborators.  Students can apply for these positions, depending on the job requirements.  

When working part-time at units on campus, in addition to remuneration, students can also participate in training sessions on knowledge and soft skills. Continuous cultivation and training in a real work environment also helps the students improve their professional expertise and work skills.

In addition, from 2021, Van Lang University has deployed activities for students to participate in teaching assistants. This is an attractive job opportunity to help students learn and practice teaching skills, accompanying teachers in each lesson. The teaching assistant will be an assistant to support the lecturer in organizing and managing academic activities related to the subject the lecturer is in charge of.

The remuneration students receive depends on the work at the units, such as:

• Communication collaborator, admission consultant: 25,000 VND/working hour.
• For regular jobs such as canteen service, library support, elevator service, parking, engine room service,...: 20,000 VND/working hour.
• For seasonal jobs such as event support: 50,000 VND/session.
• For teaching assistant work: 40,000 VND/class.
