Psychology students exchange with students from the University of Danang – University of Science and Education

On March 8, 2023, the Psychology Department of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Van Lang University welcomed lecturers and students from the Psychology Department of the University of Danang – University of Science and Education for a study tour.

The exchange had the participation of lecturers from both universities, including: 

• Dr. Hoang The Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Psychology, the University of Danang – University of Science and Education; 
• Dr. Ho Thi Thuy Hang and MA. Nguyen Thi Bich Hanh, Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, the University of Danang – University of Science and Education; 
• Dr. Pham Van Tuan, Head of Psychology Department, VLU; 
• MA. Tran Thi Nhu Ha, Deputy Head of Psychology Department, VLU.

At the meeting, both parties expressed their desire to cooperate and jointly build many future directions for the development of Psychology. This was also an opportunity for VLU and the University of Danang to exchange, learn and develop experience activities for students in the field of human psychology research.

Dr. Pham Van Tuan - Head of the Psychology Department at VLU shared: “Hopefully, after this meeting, students of both universities will have more opportunities to exchange and participate in field trips, academic research exchanges, and collaborative development. At VLU, the focus is on training bachelors who are not only good at doing research but also capable of bringing positive values to society and inspiring others.”

Not only sharing curriculum, career orientation, and development of student capacity, students’ performance brought the participants closer together. One standout performance was a guitar and solo singing "Diễm Xưa" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, a Course 28 student who had enrolled with her son after retirement and achieved the highest score in her first semester, shared: “Before deciding to be with my son on a 4-year journey at VLU, I read carefully and knew that it is a university with quality training, advanced curriculum, excellent facilities meeting European and American standards, motivating learners themselves. When I set foot in VLU, it gave me a sense of warmth and familiarity, as if I were among family”.
