SCHOLARSHIP EVALUATION PROCEDURE AND PRINCIPLES
Based on students' scholarship applications, the University's Admissions Council Secretariat organizes the evaluation of applications and announces the list of scholarship recipients before the new academic year's convocation ceremony.
Principles of scholarship evaluation:
Scholarships are awarded based on the principle of starting from the highest score and working downwards until the quota is filled. If students have the same high school graduation exam scores, the University uses additional criteria (12th-grade transcript scores, language certificates, etc.).
If students simultaneously meet the criteria for multiple types of scholarships, the University defaults to awarding the student the scholarship with the highest value.
Method of receiving scholarships:
The University plans to award scholarship certificates during the Convocation Ceremony or specific events of the faculties.
For Talent Scholarships (full and partial) and Development Scholarships: The freshmen should pay the tuition fee for the first semester within the specified admission period. The University will refund the first-semester tuition fee after completing the scholarship evaluation and necessary procedures for transferring the funds to the new students.
For Excellent Freshman Scholarships and Encouragement Scholarships for students admitted directly and for students who are alumni of specialized/gifted/key schools: The University will deduct these scholarships from the tuition fee for the second semester of the first year.
For all other scholarships: Follow the University's current regulations.
Handling complaints:
In case of complaints, students need to submit an appeal along with evidence to the Admissions Office of Van Lang University (main campus or campus 1).
Timeframe: 05 days from the date of announcement of the list of students awarded scholarships. After the specified period, complaints will not be processed.
