During the Road to Betterment program, the International Education Institute (IEI) - Van Lang University has organized two workshops with appealing topics, which are "Unlock Your True Self" (October 30, 2024) and "Communication & Teamwork" (November 6, 2024). The program delivered many compelling lessons on self-discovery for IEI students, led by speaker Andrew Tri Le - the Business Development Director of CrestCom, Vietnam.
In the "Unlock Your True Self" workshop, Mr. Andrew guided all participants through a personality test. Students were divided into four groups: Analytical, Driver, Amiable and Expressive, which were then used to discuss and share their personal views. In addition, the speaker also asked open-ended questions such as "Who are you?", "What are your strengths and weaknesses?", and "Are you introverted or extroverted?" to encourage students to explore different aspects of themselves. The lively discussion has helped students enhance self-awareness and learn how to adapt to multicultural environments.
All the students participated in the workshop activities with enthusiasm and got access to diverse approaches to analyze problems.
Next, the "Communication & Teamwork" workshop has brought a vibrant atmosphere with many creative activities. Mr Andrew introduced simulated group work scenarios, allowing IEI students to practice essential skills such as effective communication, clear presentation of ideas, active listening to differing viewpoints and understanding leadership styles.
Interactive games not only strengthened bonds among students but also created opportunities for them to express their personalities within the group.
The workshops in the "Road to Betterment" series provided IEI students with valuable opportunities for self-development. Under the guidance of experts, students were inspired to unlock their potential, hone communication and leadership skills, and develop a collaborative and efficient working environment.
