To provide opportunities for industry interaction and to align academic knowledge with real-world experiences, on November 8, 2024, students from the Faculty of Information Technology at Van Lang University participated in a practical learning visit to OPSWAT Vietnam. This visit allowed them to explore the operational model of a leading company in the software and technology sector.
Dr. Bui Minh Phung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, expressed hope that the visit would help students gain a deeper understanding of real-world business operations, interact with professionals, and thereby develop clearer career orientations and an ideal university learning pathway.
As part of the official tour, experiential activities provided students with hands-on exposure to a modern working environment and key infrastructure, particularly in Cybersecurity Infrastructure Protection (CIP) training. Moreover, the meeting created a space for students to exchange ideas and have their questions about the field answered, building foundational knowledge in software development and other related areas.
"Learning through experience", encouraging students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world practice is the goal that Van Lang University and its Faculty of Information Technology strive to achieve. Through this corporate visit, IT students at Van Lang University are expected to craft a logical learning plan and take the lead in mastering technology in the future.
