As part of the monthly professional development activities, on April 4, 2025, the Faculty of Finance and Banking of Van Lang University organized the seminar "Building a personal brand" led by Mr. Nguyen Le Hai Dang, Deputy Director of SmartLand Company Limited. The program provided a multi-dimensional perspective on personal branding and helps students understand the importance of appropriate orientation right from when they are still in school.
Mr. Nguyen Le Hai Dang commented: “Personal branding is the most authentic version, which we express clearly, strategically and create value. This is the era when everyone needs to have their own brand to be prioritized by employers among thousands of candidates.” The speaker emphasized that building a personal brand is among the top 06 essential skills for surviving and advancing one's career in the 2025-2030 period. Students who build their personal brand early will gain a great advantage when entering the labor market.
As part of the topic, Mr. Nguyen Le Hai Dang presented many studies proving the advantages of personal branding, including: content shared by employees has 8 times higher interaction than that shared by businesses; product information has 561% higher interaction than that of businesses; 92% of customers trust information from employees more than from brands; 70% of employers use social networks to screen candidates. The guest said that building a personal brand leads to more opportunities, motivation and choices in the career development journey.
The topic "Building a personal brand" helps students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking position themselves more effectively in their studies and work, while equipping them with the necessary tools to affirm their personal mark and seize career opportunities in the digital age.
