The Faculty of Information Technology Signs MOU with OPSWAT

On October 19, 2024, the Faculty of Information Technology at Van Lang University organized the seminar “File Security and Career Opportunities,” creating a platform for students from various Classes to connect and learn from experts in the field of technology. On this occasion, the Faculty also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with OPSWAT—one of the world’s leading companies in cybersecurity solutions.

Dr. Bui Minh Phung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, emphasized that the collaboration with OPSWAT represents a strategic and significant step for the university. Through the agreements outlined in the MOU, Van Lang students will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, participate in practical research projects, and contribute to addressing pressing societal challenges. This partnership is expected to open up promising job opportunities for Van Lang IT students, thereby laying a solid foundation for building a strong research community and fostering the growth of the Information Technology sector in Vietnam.

During the session on “File Security _ Bao mat file”, Mr. Thuan Le, Director of Software Engineering at OPSWAT, introduced students to advanced security technologies, particularly Multi Scanning and Deep Content Disarm and Reconstruction (Deep CDR). These technologies are likened to a “steel shield,” safeguarding user data from cyberattacks.

It is hoped that the engaging and practical insights shared by the guest speaker have provided students with valuable knowledge and lessons for their future careers.
