The students from National Taitung University participate in the teaching assistant internship program at Van Lang University.

To provide opportunities for students majoring in Chinese Language to enhance their knowledge and language skills, as well as to exchange cultural experiences with international students, on December 26, 2023, the Faculty of Foreign Language at Van Lang University organized a meeting with a delegation of lecturers and teaching assistant students from the Chinese Language Center of National Taitung University (Taiwan) for a visit and teaching session.

The meeting featured the participation of Dr. Phan The Hung, Head of the Faculty of Foreign Language; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Phi Ho, Vice Head of the Faculty of Foreign Language; Dr. Mai Thu Hoài, Head of the Chinese Language Department; Dr. Nguyen Hai Long, Head of the English Language Department, along with lecturers and teaching assistant students from the Chinese Language Center of National Taitung University (Taiwan).

Dr. Phan The Hung, Head of the Faculty of Foreign Language, hopes that the knowledge shared by the teaching assistant students from National Taitung University (Taiwan) will support Chinese Language students to learn Chinese more easily and effectively.

Since September 2023, the Chinese Language Center of National Taitung University has organized 11 online Chinese classes for the Chinese Language students at Van Lang University. After an online learning course, the students from two universities have the opportunity for direct interaction, mutual understanding, and practicing the Chinese language together.

The meeting was lively and approachable, with students from both universities enjoying music and engaging in the exchange and conversion with each other. Additionally, the teaching assistant students from National Taitung University guided students of the Faculty of Foreign Language in overcoming common mistakes in Chinese communication, such as vocabulary and grammar errors, mastering pronunciation rules of difficult words, and practicing intonation and speech rhythm.

Luong Hoang Anh Thu, a Chinese Language student, shared "Interacting in Chinese with the students from Taiwan has helped us become familiar with the accent, usage of native expressions, and improve our pronunciation skills. Consequently, we feel much more confident and proactive in our studies."
