On the afternoon of October 4, 2024, Van Lang University hosted a meeting with the Malaysian Education Consulate delegation in Ho Chi Minh City and representatives from Malaysia's leading universities.
The Malaysian delegation was led by Dr. Azriey Bin Mazlan, Education Consul of the Malaysian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside representatives from Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and top universities in Malaysia.
From Van Lang University, the meeting included the participation of MSc. Doan Duy Thai Lam, Director of the Honors Program; Dr. Bui Minh Phung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Phan Van Duc, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering; MSc. Nguyen Thi Kim Lan, Head of Global Engagement at the International Education Institute (IEI); Dr. Dang Thi Huyen Trang, Head of Training at the International Education Institute, along with many leaders and faculty members from various faculties and institutes.
At the start of the meeting, Dr. Azriey Bin Mazlan expressed his hopes for strengthening cooperation between Malaysian educational representatives and Van Lang University: “We can organize exchange programs between Malaysian students and Van Lang students, as we have already carried out many joint educational programs. I believe that today’s visit by the Malaysian representatives will further enhance the relationship between both sides in the future.”
During the meeting, the VLU leaders and faculty members, along with representatives from Malaysian universities, introduced their international training programs, facilities, and ongoing collaboration activities. The partners also expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with Van Lang University, especially in areas such as student exchanges, scientific research, and training high-quality human resources.
It is hoped that the relationship between Van Lang University and Malaysian universities will continue to grow sustainably, bringing long-term benefits to students of both countries.
