Van Lang University continues to sign an MOU with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK ACCA

On February 23, 2023, the Faculty of Accounting, Van Lang University signed an MOU with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), to continue their partnership in the training program, certification in accounting, and business for VLU students.

Representatives of Van Lang University attending the signing ceremony included Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, Rector of Van Lang University; Dr. Mai Binh Duong, Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thu Van, Deputy Head of the Department, is in charge of Financial Accounting and Accounting Practice.

The two parties have mutually agreed upon the following primary goals, as outlined in the MOU: maintain Van Lang University's ACCA-oriented training program for undergraduates in the fields of Accounting and Auditing, provide them with the opportunity to obtain a Certificate in Accounting and Business; assist students in gaining access to ACCA's educational and professional development resources; organize free review sessions for ACCA subjects and assist students in registering for the ACCA certification (also including the exam schedule and fee); provide feedback on curriculum development; collaborate on specialized conferences, seminars, and professional training organized by ACCA Vietnam; Establish on-demand test centers for ACCA knowledge-level exams. 

In addition, ACCA Vietnam will support Van Lang University in connecting with Oxford Brookes University, giving students the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Applied Accounting (B.Sc. in Applied Accounting) degree from Oxford Brookes University through the Research and Analysis Project.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), established in 1904, is the largest professional organization in the world with a network of over 233,000 members and 544,000 students. The value of an ACCA certification is widely recognized globally in 179 countries. Employers recognize that earning an ACCA degree is a strong indication of professional excellence due to the program's emphasis on international accounting and financial standards, as well as its external benchmarking for quality. ACCA-trained applicants are highly qualified to drive business growth for recruiting agencies. Businesses respect and trust graduates with an ACCA diploma as it demonstrates their expertise in accounting, auditing, and finance.

In Vietnam, ACCA takes pride in being the first international professional association with over 1,300 members currently holding senior positions in national Ministries, Groups, Banks, and other businesses both domestically and internationally.
