Van Lang University has achieved accreditation for quality assurance in education according to FIBAA standards.

On March 6, 2024, during the 13th meeting, the FIBAA Accreditation and Certification Committee officially awarded the FIBAA Quality Seal to Van Lang University. This is a recognition of the quality of an internationally reputable accreditation organization for the University.

Before this, during the academic year 2022-2023, Van Lang University participated in the institutional quality assessment according to FIBAA (Europe) standards. In September 2023, a team of experts from the FIBAA organization came to Vietnam to conduct direct assessments, surveys, and interviews with the VLU leaders, heads of departments, lecturers, support staff, students, and alumni to comprehensively evaluate all aspects of Van Lang University's operations in service of the institutional quality assessment.

FIBAA is a prestigious international organization for accrediting the quality of higher education, utilizing European accreditation standards. The FIBAA Quality Seal is recognized around the world. The FIBAA accreditation process is extremely rigorous, requiring universities to meet quality requirements in strategy development, quality management, faculty quality, scientific research, student support services, facilities, training programs, and the practical value provided to students. 

Van Lang University meets the quality requirements with 100% of the criteria, whereas nearly 50% of the criteria exceed the quality requirements. Significantly, Van Lang University has 02 criteria assessed as exceptional, the highest level of quality that the FIBAA Accreditation and Certification Committee never recognized for any university until the end of 2023.

In the exceptional criterion of Strategic Objectives, the European experts, when conducting a field survey at Van Lang University, acknowledged that the VLU not only builds strategic objectives in line with its mission and vision but also pursues a continuous improvement approach and serves as a basis for individuals to build their strategies. The external expert team also confirmed that the strategic objectives of Van Lang University are implemented through the annual work plan, reflected in the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the VLU  and each department in each academic year..

During the assessment process, the external expert team was amazed by the outstanding quality management strategy at VLU, including the requirements and development objectives. The expert team acknowledged a comprehensive and detailed approach, aiming at the individual development plan of each member of VLU. It also demonstrates quality assurance developed at Van Lang University, in which quality management strategy is a guideline for each member. During interviews, the expert team also learned about the culture of Van Lang University, in which further development is a top priority. Following that, everyone is dedicated to this goal. These are the observations of the expert team regarding the Quality Management Strategy criteria, exceptional at Van Lang University.

Being accredited by FIBAA affirms that Van Lang University meets international quality standards. Overall, the external expert team had a positive impression of Van Lang University and acknowledged that the quality management system is a strength with a quality culture that profoundly impacts all members. VLU has developed an accurate mission statement, providing a vision of the position the University aims for and the necessary steps to achieve that position.

Receiving the FIBAA Quality Seal according to European standards and the objective evaluations from international higher education accreditation experts are clear evidence acknowledging the relentless efforts of Van Lang University in its continuous strategic pursuit towards integration and comprehensive upgrading according to international standards. It materializes the vision of “becoming one of the most admired young universities in Asia by 2030.”
