Van Lang University partners with Solar Z Energy Investment Corporation

On December 9, 2023, the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology of Van Lang University signed a cooperation agreement with Solar Z Investment Energy Corporation to jointly develop education and apply technology.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hung Thuong - CEO of Solar Z, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son - Head of Technical Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - Rector of Van Lang University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Huu Son - Head of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology, Dr. Phan Van Duc - Deputy Head of the Department, along with representatives from Solar Z Investment Energy Corporation, faculty members, and students of VLU’s Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology.

Van Lang University and Solar Z Investment Energy Corporation will enhance academic activities, providing real-world opportunities and internships for students, along with collaborating on technology transfer. Solar Z Investment Energy Corporation will sponsor an electric vehicle charging station and implement a station management app for Van Lang University following the Memorandum of Agreement.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, representing Van Lang University, stated, "We are facing rapid technological changes and environmental issues. Through collaboration with Solar Z Investment Energy Corporation and reputable businesses, I hope students will be given opportunities to grasp and create new technological values, being ready to adapt flexibly to any changes."

Following the signing ceremony, the two parties engaged in their first academic exchange activity with the seminar "Electric Vehicle Charging System," updating students on applied technology. Intending to optimize electric vehicle technology, establish a widespread and convenient electric vehicle charging network, promote electric vehicle use, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, Mr. Nguyen Hung Thuong - CEO of Solar Z, introduced the Rabbit EVC application to attendees. This app features location-based electric vehicle charging stations, making it easy for users to find a charging station when needed. In addition to the electric vehicle charging platform, Mr. Thuong mentioned that the company is also considering developing a platform for electric motorcycle charging to meet consumer demands.

In 2023, the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology at Van Lang University welcomed its first graduating batch of bachelor's students, contributing positively to society. Continuous improvement and the expansion of training and research activities each year, coupled with collaborations with domestic and international businesses and educational institutions, create a high-quality learning environment. This aids learners in the Automotive Engineering Technology at Van Lang University in achieving comprehensive development and enhancing competitiveness in the job market.
