In order to raise students' awareness of the spirit of environmental protection, aiming to create a "green" working and learning space for lecturers and students and sustainable development, for many years, Van Lang University has implemented propaganda work on savings, upgraded facilities and organized many practical competitions and playgrounds.
In the context of increasing consumer demand and the need for energy, raw materials as well as resources, the economical and effective use of electricity, water, paper, and so on is considered one of the solutions. This is expected to effectively helps protect the environment as well as support sustainable development.
The work of raising awareness for the Van Lang community about sustainable development has also been widely implemented in a variety of forms. At the campuses, the university arranges message boards to remind everyone of their awareness through every small action.
From 2020 up to now, the “Waste Classification at the Usage Source” program has helped the Van Lang community properly classify waste, through waste classification instructions arranged at waste collection points at 3 campuses.
In addition to the messages on campus, Van Lang University encourages students to demonstrate the spirit of saving and protecting the environment right in their daily activities. In major events such as the Opening Ceremony, Graduation Ceremony, Van Lang Student Festival, etc., students are encouraged to minimize the use of plastic waste, promoting the spirit of recycling and reuse.
Van Lang students are always proud of the university's "school culture" and also enjoy the modern learning facilities. The university is always beautiful, clean and comfortable only when students join hands to preserve and care for it like their own home. Hopefully, small messages around the campus and practical student activities will contribute to bringing great significance on the sustainable development journey of Van Lang University.
