Van Lang University Receives Recognition of Improvement from QS Rankings 2025

At the Higher Education Summit held in Macau from November 5-7, 2024, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced the 2025 Asia University Rankings and presented awards recognizing the outstanding achievements of universities.

In addition to being ranked among the top 491-500 universities in Asia, Van Lang University was honored by QS with the “Research & Discovery – Performance Improvement” award, marking our exceptional efforts in quality improvement and brand reputation growth.

The QS Rankings 2025 results are a positive recognition from Quacquarelli Symonds, one of the three most prestigious and influential university ranking organizations in the world. Van Lang University was highly rated for the significant advancements in brand building through research collaborations and business connections, expanding partnership network, and developing an international experience environment for students.

The “Recognition of Improvement” award from QS is awarded to educational institutions that demonstrate exceptional improvement in their ranking results. To achieve this recognition, universities must not only enhance themselves but also prove their progress compared to other educational institutions. Van Lang University's growth in the 2025 Asia University Rankings is a testament to its continuous efforts and commitment to quality education according to international standards.

In recent years, VLU has consistently enhanced our international quality, building a global collaboration network and committing significant investments to ensure quality. By 2025, Van Lang University will offer over 130 training programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels, with nearly 200 international partners from 25 countries across four continents. The number of international students coming to VLU for exchange and study has surged, with over 1,100 students from 25 countries in 2024. Additionally, more than 200 Van Lang University students have participated in short-term study and internship exchanges at international universities, and over 300 international lecturers are teaching students at Van Lang University.

On the world university ranking map, Van Lang University is positioned among the top 491–500 universities in Asia and ranks 86th in Southeast Asia (QS WUR 2025). The university is also placed in the top 801–1000 globally in terms of its impact on sustainable development according to THE Impact Rankings 2024.

To date, Van Lang University is one of 11 higher education institutions in Vietnam that has achieved international quality accreditation. In 2024, Van Lang became the first private university in Vietnam to receive quality certification according to European standards from the FIBAA accreditation organization (Switzerland).
