Van Lang University signed a MOU with HD Bank

Accompanying the Faculty of Finance and Banking in numerous training activities, bringing practical value to learners and jointly participating in meaningful community projects, on April 23, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) and Van Lang University officially signed a cooperation agreement.

Presenting at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of Van Lang University, shared from the perspective of a university, VLU is determined to pursue three important missions: Training human resources, disseminating intellectual values, and serving society. With a long-standing commitment to VLU, HDBank has participated and collaborated with Van Lang University in fulfilling these three missions.

Faced with the significant challenge of AI dominance in the new era, Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu expects that the University and businesses will be companions to help learners turn challenges into opportunities for professional advancement, enabling them to progress rapidly and firmly in their careers.

In addition to sponsoring 30 million VND for the "Lighting the way to school" project for children in the mountainous district of Van Canh, Binh Dinh province in December 2023, at the signing ceremony, HDBank awarded the Faculty of Finance and Banking 25 scholarships worth 50 million VND, encouraging the academic spirit of Van Lang University students.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Hoang - Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, hopes that the cooperation between VLU and HDBank will bring about many useful experiential activities, with students as the focus and beneficiaries. Additionally, in its role as a professional partner, the Faculty of Finance and Banking at VLU is ready to provide and connect its team of scientists with HDBank, supporting the unit in updating new scientific research, bringing about positive changes to promote productivity, quality, and work efficiency.

As part of the program, the Faculty of Finance and Banking organizes a seminar on "Trading on the stock market," sharing with Van Lang University students new perspectives on the stock market and investment funds.

Under the guidance of Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - Director of Brokerage at Saigonbank Berjaya Securities Joint Stock Company and Mr. Le Trung Nam - Director of EPS Investing, Member of the Board of Directors of Construction Joint Stock Company 47, Faculty of Finance and Banking students are provided with a comprehensive overview of current investment funds in the Vietnamese market. Additionally, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan also guides Van Lang University students in honing their knowledge and skills through early and efficient investment with a small capital base.
