On February 24, 2025, the International Education Institute hosted a workshop with the theme "Leveraging Technology in Learning", introducing students to advanced tools that enhance productivity in both study and work.

The workshop was led by Dr. Mark Liptrott, Vice-dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Edge Hill University (UK). Dr. Liptrott introduced some powerful tools designed to optimize learning and work efficiency, including ChatGPT, OneNote, Khan Academy, and Online Resume Maker.

Dr. Liptrott introduced some powerful tools designed to optimize learning and work efficiency.

In addition, Dr. Liptrott provides students with practical experiences through challenging group activities. Each team is challenged to explore and present a technology tool that supports education. Within three minutes, students have to demonstrate acumen, and proficiency in presenting the tool’s features, applications, and benefits. This dynamic activity helped students sharpen their soft skills.

The dynamic atmosphere of the workshop

The workshop provided valuable information on applying technology to learning and working. It also underscored the International Education Institute’s role in enhancing the quality of education and fostering innovation and adaptability needed in the digital age.

(*) Dr. Mark Liptrott holds multiple specialized certifications in information systems and is currently supervising research at various academic institutions alongside his primary role in teaching. Additionally, he is an editor for the Journal of Information Technology and Citizenship and a reviewer for several other academic journals.
