Welcome the delegation of students from J.F.Oberlin University (Japan) for a study tour at Van Lang University

On February 8, 2023, the Faculty of Tourism of Van Lang University welcomed a delegation of Japanese lecturers and students from J. F. Oberlin University for a study tour.

The attendees at the meeting were

● MSc. Le Thi Minh Tam, Head of the External Relations Department
● MSc. Hoang Ngoc Hien, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism
● Dr. Do Manh Hong, Lecturer at J.F. Oberlin and Team Leader
● Students from J.F. Oberlin University.
 

During the program, both parties expressed their mutual interest in collaborating and developing valuable cultural exchange programs between J.F. Oberlin University and Van Lang University in particular, as well as Japan and Vietnam in general. This will provide opportunities for VLU’s students, especially those studying Japanese language and culture, as well as those in the tourism industry, to broaden their knowledge, gain personal experiences, and enhance their foreign language proficiency, thus inspiring their pursuit of knowledge.

Dr. Le Minh Thanh, the Dean of Faculty of Tourism shared: "The program provides a valuable opportunity for students from both universities to meet, learn, and exchange cultures between Vietnam and Japan. Through this trip, students will have a better understanding of Van Lang University as well as a greater love for Vietnam. Hopefully, in the future, the two universities will have more opportunities to connect and create learning conditions for students.

Lecturers and students from the Faculty of Tourism and J.F. Oberlin University paid a visit to the main campus of Van Lang University, experiencing a Japanese language class and joining MSc. Vo Duc Duy - Lecturer of the Faculty of Tourism to learn how to make delicious cocktails.

Van Lang University, to become a Vietnamese university that meets international standards, warmly welcomes both domestic and international partners as well as learners for a study tour. The university has been expanding and strengthening its international connections, which helps to create a comprehensive learning environment that assists young Vietnamese people in rapidly integrating with the world and developing their potential through cross-cultural experiences.
