WESET English Language Center renewed MOA and awards scholarships to VLU’s Faculty of Foreign Language

After three years of successful collaboration, the Faculty of Foreign Language at Van Lang University and WESET English Center continue their partnership by renewing MOA and awarding valuable scholarships to the Van Lang University Foreign Language Scholarship Fund.

Summarizing the collaborative journey and working together with Van Lang University over the past period, Ms. Pham Thi Yen Nhi, the Director of External Relations at WESET English Center, shared: "In 2020, the Faculty of Foreign Language at Van Lang University initiated its first partnership with WESET English Center, co-executing a variety of practical programs, offers internship and many scholarships, fostering a university-wide student initiative. The primary objective of this endeavor was to facilitate the improvement of language skills and personal growth. Currently, WESET has many Van Lang alumni employed in crucial departments such as Academic Affairs, External Relations, and Business. With the favorable results, we look forward to continuing our collaborative journey with the university in the years ahead. We are resolute in supporting Van Lang and creating the most favorable conditions for students, delivering valuable and meaningful educational experiences." Aside from collaborating with VLU’s students of the Faculty of Foreign Language, WESET English Center also acted as a sponsor for the Van Lang Film Festival 2021, offering an enriching platform for dedicated student artists on weekends. 

To establish a lasting partnership between the two organizations, Dr. Phan The Hung – Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Language, has put forward the idea of organizing a range of interaction and networking events with businesses. The goal is to offer senior students, in particular, hands-on work experience, gain insights into the industry, and understand the requirements of employers, and the current job market. Building on previous collaborative experiences, Dr. Phan The Hung anticipates that both parties will introduce more streamlined yet high-quality activities, with a primary focus on helping students enhance their language skills and practical knowledge.

Building on the foundation of prior collaboration and setting the objectives for the new phase, the Faculty of Foreign Language at Van Lang University and WESET English Center have agreed on various areas of cooperation, including organizing field trips, internship programs for junior and senior students; providing career guidance and conducting workshops to enhance soft skills for students across different courses; engaging in extensive research projects for faculty and students at the university; supporting recruitment policies for the Faculty of Foreign Language students of VLU; continuing to partner with the Foreign Language Student Scholarship Fund and awarding scholarships to high-achieving students with underprivileged backgrounds.

At the signing ceremony, WESET English Center awarded a scholarship worth 10 million Vietnamese Dong to the Faculty of Foreign Language Student Scholarship Fund, contributing to the encouragement of students' academic commitment and personal development, inspiring and supporting those facing adversity to overcome challenges and fulfill their educational obligations.
