Youth excitedly embark on their university journey with Open Day at Van Lang University.

Open Day is the largest annual event organized by Van Lang University, providing students with career orientation and admissions consultation. In 2023, the event attracted over 2000 attendees from the HCMC and neighboring provinces.

Following the success of 2022, Van Lang University recently hosted its 2023 Open Day, an extensive career orientation and admissions event. Van Lang University invested significantly in the event by offering 30 classes in various fields and the "Inspiration to start your university journey" class, presented by  Prof. To Nhi A. High school students actively participated in these specialized topics, which covered a broad range of majors and fields. The integrated model of admission counseling with practical learning experiences, campus tours to explore facilities, and club exchanges helped students better understand the university environment and find their desired majors before starting their university journey.

Mai Hong Phuoc, a male student from Long An High School for the Gifted, shared: "What I appreciate the most about attending VLU is the chance to experience being a university student. I am interested in the Graphic Design major at VLU, but when I read the information about the thematic classes, I decided to participate in the "Inspiration to Start your university journey" class to prepare for university life. The program partly provided me with valuable knowledge and precious experiences to enhance my personal development on the university journey."

Learning to spark the passion for careers
The standout feature of Open Day 2023 is the high application thematic classes which keep up with the latest trends such as: applying GPT into creative digital content, building personal branding on the Web platform, supporting practical training on the VR-TRAINING virtual reality system, green living,... By participating in these classes, students can explore their potential and ignite their passion for their chosen career paths.
 

Many of Van Lang University's popular majors have attracted a significant number of students to register for career orientation through thematic courses such as Public Relations and Communication in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0 and Marketing, Getting to Know the Faculty of Fine Arts & Design through the Sketchnoting course.

Nguyen Phu Thinh, a Dong Thap High School student, shared, “Through the Applied Literature class, I realized that to be good at Communication, I need to improve my vocabulary and gain more materials for creativity. With the sincere and enthusiastic guidance of lecturers and seniors, I have more confidence and motivation to choose this field of study.”

Campus Tour – visting the international's standard university

Van Lang University is renowned for its state-of-the-art and impressive campus situated in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, which has piqued the interest of numerous high school students nationwide. During the Open Day event 2023, students explore appealing spots at the VLU's main campus, including the Trinh Cong Son auditorium, the comprehensive sports complex, the library, the laboratory of the Faculty of Dentistry, and practice areas.

Pham Khanh Vy, a student of Hoang Van Thu High School in Nha Trang, enthusiastically shared: "Upon receiving information about Van Lang University's experiential program, I asked my parents to purchase train tickets for an overnight trip from Nha Trang to visit the campus. When I arrived, I was deeply impressed by the university's modern and luxurious facilities. Participating in the Public Relations thematic class, I gained valuable knowledge, and I believe VLU will be an ideal environment for me to excel academically and personally."

"Before attending the Open Day at Van Lang University, I am hesitant about the Dentistry major at VLU or another university. However, after participating in the program, I decided to register Dentistry major at VLU. Participating in the Dentistry's thematic classes, I was able to practice on modern equipment and was very surprised and excited about the modern practice rooms, simulation rooms, and clinical rooms." - said Le Phan Gia Han, a student of class 12A3 at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (HCMC).
